The Story of Mabel Hannah Keepsakes

Hi~ I'm Rosalie, I'm a mother of two beautiful girls Mabel and Hannah and here I am now the creator of Mabel Hannah Keepsakes.

 

I spend most of my waking hours at the sewing machine or hand sewing.

Creating is my passion and has been since I was a little girl!

My best memories from the good old days are a little girl who loved playing with dolls and spending most of my childhood moments with my Grandmother and dolls.

​

The majority of my dolls were handmade by my Grandmother.

She's a creative and talented old lady, she made dolls from old clothes and outfits for dolls too, so that I could play dress ups with my dolls. 

 

The most enjoyable olden days was sitting beside my Grandmother's lap, watching her sewing, sewing and sewing dolls...

I cherish my dolls because they are so special to me, they're warm to the touch and 'one and only' specially made from a loving hand of my Grandmother.

The idea of making Mabel Hannah Keepsakes began when I had my first baby, Mabel.

 

My little girl was growing up so fast. I had all of these beautiful clothes that held such sweet and precious memories of our family together that I couldn't be apart of. 

It was such an emotional moment for myself to pack them away into the attic or think of giving it away to someone else who may need.

 

One day... I thought of my Grandmother. 

I thought of her ideas for making 'One and Only' dolls using old clothes. 

This could be a way of saving up all those precious baby clothes that were so special to me and bring them back to the family to treasure forever.

 

Therefore, I created Mabel Hannah Keepsakes -- a dream of my own to honour my dearest Grandmother. She plays such an important role model of my life, the creativeness I got from her should grow and live on. 

Now...I could help other people in the world create special memory keepsakes for their families that will last for generations to come.

My passion and love of life are where I live now, with my family in a little cottage.

The heart of the cottage is my lovely sewing room where I produce every piece of precious keepsakes.
